Decided to take a bus to Hanoi tomorrow ,154 km from here. Really sick of the rain and also no one seems to speak either English or Mandarin, couldn't find a Vietnam map in a big bookstore. Went to the ATM to cash out some Dong. I am getting home sick now.

It's time to cheer up, rain or no rain. Humans are funny creatures. We ask for rain when it's 38 deg C in summer, and hope for sunshine in the rainy season.
To me the sun is only good for nice blue sky photos and drying my laundry.
Sometimes we're lucky and get half a day of sun and rain. All day rain sucks, but at least you're getting to see new places and experience different sounds and smells each day. Maybe wake up late, have a long breakfast and just ride shorter distances.
Today 60 of us on road bikes kena rains and lightning again, but as one ang moh friend said, riding in the rain is better than no riding at all till next Sunday.
When bike touring I also notice that I get angry or fed up whenever I have to deal with transport.
Everyone in the whole country is nice until the driver or conductor comes along and tries to squeeze $$ from you so you are not alone.
I hope the next few days will be better for you, and they will !

I've been away from home, almost 2 week in Florence still no cycling yet cause it's so hot here ,heat wave ,
Make me miss the rain at home,
And I drop my note book since am here,it's broken!
Anyway today it'is good weather to start cycling.

Chong5, surprisingly the hanoi weather is sunny. Before I came to Hanoi, I checked in net on the 10 days forcast. 9 out of 10 are scattered tunderstorm.Reliability rate so low.
